Welcome to the Arctic Circle Philosophy Colloquium! We are a group of individuals who enjoy getting together to have informal discussions about Ideas. We meet Sundays at 4pm at an alternating cafe in Fairbanks. The meeting formula is pretty simple:

The topic of the week is chosen by the member of the week: the member of the week circulates depending on seniority. The member of the week presents their chosen topic for the first 1-10 minutes of the meeting. This presentation can consist of anything from a single question to a poem to a full fledged philosophical  treatise.

After the MOTW presents their idea, the floor is open for discussion. We will spend about an hour discussing the topic. Then the next MOTW is named.

Membership is not restricted to the "educated." All are welcome.
